21 October 2012

A new poll in today's Sunday Times, shows that two thirds of Irish people now support moving to civil marriage for lesbian and gay couples, and a further 26% believed the current provision of civil partnership should remain unchanged.

"This is another welcome demonstration of the transformation in attitudes to lesbian and gay people in Ireland. Based on the success of civil partnerships, public and political support for civil marriage is growing rapidly" said Kieran Rose, GLEN Chair.
