The Combat Poverty Agency (CPA) report Poverty: Lesbians and Gay Men (1995) documents a comprehensive study on the extent and nature of anti-gay prejudice and discrimination in Ireland. The study, based on a survey of gay people in Dublin and Cork, explores how discrimination and the fear of discrimination impacts on levels of poverty and exclusion amongst lesbians and gay men. The study and report then seeks to establish the needs of those most at risk of experiencing poverty.
